Dolphin stadium may have been built for football, but during baseball season it has the look and feel of a bona fide ballpark. I miss the old manual scoreboard which evoked a sense of nostalgia. It gave the park an old-time feeling, as if it was built for the game of baseball many years ago. I had the pleasure of being at both the 1997 and 2003 World Series, and there is nothing like 67,000 fans cheering on a Marlins hit...but thankfully the Series is in October, you definitely don't want to be sitting in the right field seats in the summertime. They face directly to the west and the Miami sun doesn't set until late in the afternoon. Remember to bring your sunglasses, a hat, and some sunscreen.

Talk about a Stadium that has been ruined by another sport.
Dolphin Stadium should have hosted baseball ever!I only drove by it when I was on vacation in Florida and it looked too neon.

I would go to Florida Marlins games when I was a kid when my Family had a Timeshare in South Beach. Every Summer, my dad would take me to a game while we were down in Miami, I thought that it was a fine park, the food was good, the seats were good, I could see the whole field, and I loved how when you walked in, the bright colors made you fell like you were in the Tropics. I would like it if the right field seats were like old Mile high, or Aloha stadium, where the seats slide on a track, or air, or water!

My thoughts on this ballpark are this: it is a modern version of Tiger Stadium in Detroit, however with the left and right field axes reversed, and without the overhanging main upper deck and third deck in left field, rather than in right field. While I haven't had the time to attend a game here when I finally made it down to south Florida to visit my aunt in 2009 (man, was I glad that I did, because she passed away that November 14), but I heard her say back in 1993 that the Miami Marlins were finally getting major league status! In July of 2009, during the three days we were in West Palm Beach, it didn't rain once even in the mid to late afternoons as it commonly doss in Miami, which is why I can't figure out why this park doesn't have at least a grandstand roof, such as we used to have in Detroit? This is why Marlins Park was finally completed in 2012! I remember a Super Bowl played here where Prince was playing his electric guitar and singing at halftime in quite the heavy rainstorm, definitely not safe, I am surprised he wasn't electrocuted that night!

Ugh. I just had to check it off my list. Other than that, absolutely nothing memorable. I'd give it a 1, but at least they had real grass.
