10 visit(s). My rating: 9
I saw my very first Major League ballgame at Jarry Park in 1969. They played the S.F. Giants. Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Juan Marichel and others. I was with my dad and his brother. We sat in the first row beyond first base. Close enough to the players to touch them as they walked by before the game. I was 19 years old. But I felt 10 years younger than that! I had many great times at Jarry. It was a whole lot more fun there than going to the Big 'O'. Too bad the fans let the Expos slip away. MLB just 65 miles from my home in Vt. Now, I have to drive all the way to Fenway.
