Do I have I talented younger brother or what? Believe it or not, this is just a small sample of the photos John sent to me. Please direct any comments about these photos to johndavidclem@yahoo.com. While you're at it, you might encourage him to venture South of the Border on one of his future birding adventures!

Arctic Tern; (Taken near Churchill, Manitoba, June 2002)

Pacific Loon; (Taken near Churchill, Manitoba, June 2002)

Short-eared Owl; (Taken near Churchill, Manitoba, June 2002)

Jacqueline and I saw one of these owls for the first time ever in Staunton earlier this year.

Shoveler; (Taken near Churchill, Manitoba, June 2002)

Yellow-headed blackbird; (Taken near Oak Hammock, Manitoba, June 2002)

I saw many of these beautiful blackbirds for the first time ever in South Dakota very recently, but they were flying high overhead.

Chestnut-sided warbler; (Taken near Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba, June 2002)

This is probably my favorite warbler, but most of the ones I see are in the fall, without the striking colored plumage you see here.
