BEEN THERE: I visited during batting practice for a game on September 25, 2022.
Durham Bulls Athletic Park was a marked improvement over the Durham Bulls' previous home at Durham Athletic Park (located about one mile to the north), where the movie Bull Durham was filmed. It is much smaller in seating capacity compared to Sahlen Field in Buffalo, however.
The major distinguishing feature is the tall left-field wall known as the "Blue Monster," alluding to Fenway Park's "Green Monster." On top of that wall is the "Snorting Bull," an upgraded version of the bull that appeared in right field in the movie Bull Durham.

Visit Raleigh-Durham!
The city of Durham is only 20 miles from Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina, so the Bulls enjoy a bigger fan base than might be indicated by Durham's own population: about 285,000 vs. 475,000 for Raleigh.
CLOCKWISE FROM TOP LEFT: North Carolina state capitol building in Raleigh, downtown Durham skyline, First Baptist Church in Raleigh, Carter-Finley Stadium (NCSU) on the west edge of Raleigh, Coastal Credit Union Music Park, on the southeast edge of Raleigh, and the back side of the Durham Bull, by the left field foul pole.
